So, no matter how many squirrels run around my brain, even I have times when there’s a bit of writer’s block. That’s what this week’s post is all about.
Sometimes, I’ll sit at my desk and the words just flow. Ideas will come quickly and it’s all I can do to get it all on paper. Then I just tweak it a few (hundred or thousand) times and bam – another article for my blog. That’s how it was back in April. I had the next 4 to 5 posts written and scheduled for posting – ideas were flowing faster than the water in the Chattahoochee after a hard rain.
Well, poo. Not now. Nothing. Well, not completely nothing. I’ve had a few ideas here and there, but nothing would take root. I may have an idea in the middle of the night and write down a couple of words to remind me of the topic, only to find that when I go back to my notes, I have no idea what it was supposed to be about.
Oh, don’t get me wrong, there are a few articles that aren’t complete and just need some more polishing, but I am unsure where I’m headed with them. I’ve even reached out to friends for input on one and have had some feedback, but that one just isn’t coming together the way I thought it would.
And there’s nothing quite like writing an article and having a thought about another article to write but 2 seconds later, I can’t remember what that thought even was about. Yes, that just happened.
I also have a series of articles that I’d like to write but need to drag out some old phot albums to scan photos and create a timeline for the articles. I also need to work with the siblings to get that series started and sorted. Besides, the photo albums are in a closet where a heavy piece of furniture is blocking the door.
Well, I’m not giving up. Oh! – that sounds like it was the idea for this article.
Anyone have any ideas?
