Blindness

Why do some people even notice diversity in a crowd? I was taught to not only not care what someone’s color or race is but to not even notice it. Why do people today spend so much time analyzing the race of a crowd? I was taught it doesn’t matter. They will say it doesn’t matter either so why are they spending time analyzing it? Some part of those people thinks it's important. Some want to point out diversity because they feel if they do it somehow makes them virtuous. How do we move to a truly integrated society when people still see race?
How about this? Treat people as if you were blind.
